Panel Discussion on Navigating Feminist Struggles and Aspirations in Asia

The title of the panel discussion is Navigating Feminist Struggles and Aspirations in Asia. This single-panel discussion event aims to explore the intricate relationship between care work and the feminist just energy transition in the Asian context. By bringing together experts, activists, and advocates, we intend to delve into the challenges, opportunities, and solutions at the intersection of care work and sustainable energy practices.

The event begins with a thoughtful introduction, taking the audience on a journey to define care work, underscore its significance, and provide an overview of the current landscape of care work in Asia. Moving forward, the first session unfolds with a deep dive into the initiatives and accomplishments of the Asia Feminist Coalition in addressing unpaid care work. This segment not only showcases success stories but also sheds light on the challenges faced in advocating for the recognition and redistribution of care work. Following this, the second session unfolds with a comprehensive presentation and discussion on the recently launched policy brief on feminist just energy transition. Participants will gain insights into the coalition's dedicated efforts to promote sustainable and equitable energy practices. The third session explores critical feminist issues in Asia that demand immediate attention, identifying upcoming challenges and opportunities for the feminist movement beyond the current focus. As the discussion progresses, the fourth session invites participants to engage in discussions about potential collaborations and strategies for addressing impending issues. The audience is encouraged to contribute their input and ideas, fostering a collaborative approach to shape the future of feminist endeavors in the region.

The event concludes with a dynamic Q&A session, providing an interactive platform for the audience to pose questions and contribute to the ongoing discourse. This segment ensures a vibrant exchange of ideas and perspectives, enriching the collective understanding of feminist struggles and aspirations in Asia.
