People's Economic Forum

 

The People’s Economic Forum -PEF2024 is planning to organize on 18th February 2024 in Kathmandu with hybrid mode on the occasion of World Social Forum (WSF2024).

The PEF2024 will be focused on eco-system and showcasing economic alternatives i.e. social enterprises, climate smart enterprises, green enterprises, responsible business, social solidarity economy and business and human rights , fair trade and community economy practices in world with the aim of achieving prosperity and sustainability for all.

The alternative economies understood that those involved in creating and promoting alternatives in relation to mainstream spaces of economic and political activity and the strategies that are deployed for economic empowerment peoples’.

The PEF2024 is initiative of national and international organizations, networks, alliances, small and medium scale enterprises, social entrepreneurs', institutions, academia  and CSOs, together with people’s movements for alternative economics for accelerating economic alternatives in the world.

In this regard,  we would like to request collaboration  to achieve an important goal towards creating an eco-system for alternatives  and  enhancing economic activities  for accelerating 2030 agendas, creating enterprises and  opportunities  for young, women and marginalized communities in world for uplift from poverty and reducing  inequalities, save the nation and prosperity.
