For more than 13 years we have used a community currency in Mexico. 
Social currencies are instruments of solidarity economy that allow us to strengthen local economies, the links between people and change the capitalist market paradigms for others linked to good living. Overcoming individuality for the community, moving from scarcity to abundance and not competing, but collaborating. 
Social currencies question the financial system and are a viable proposal that is already happening around the world.
