Nepal Mahila Ekata Samaj along with CSRC and Ekata Parisad are going to organize a panel discussion and thoughts of peace building on land right movement in world.
The most important historical figures of non-violence in the (South) Asian region are Gandhi and Buddha. They still inspire many peacemakers, movements and others who want a nonviolent society. As violence increases in this region, we must join, share and build solidarity to restore and develop a nonviolent culture, civil society nonviolent power and nonviolent economy. These will be the three main themes of this workshop, which is open to everyone. It will be particularly participative and constructive, based on our real experiences, actions and needs.
On intercommunity and religion, we will highlight the importance of religious harmony at a time when religious and ethnic nationalism is on the rise.
On nonviolent civil society power, we will share our experiences and strategies for building social movements that respond to the injustice of exploitation and marginalisation of people at the bottom of the socio-economic hierarchy.
And finally, on nonviolent economy, we will share how we build local economic development that includes hand and manual labour in the economy, working simultaneously with natural wealth, human capital and financial capital.
