Radical Democracy and Autonomy (session 1)

Join us for our two-part
‘Radical Democracy and Autonomy: Current Practice and Future Visions’ gathering, co-organised by the Global Tapestry of Alternatives, REDWeb, Academy of Democratic Modernity, Jineoloji Academy, and Global Sustainability University), among others!

Our first session will be on presenting existing practices of radical democracy, and following up, our second session will be on principles of radical democracy emerging from ground experiences, along with exploring what can be done to spread, deepen, and strengthen radical
democracy. 

A detailed agenda of the first session is as below: 

1. Introduction to session including importance of topic in light of growing authoritarianism /
decline of democracy 
2. Introductions of organisers/speakers and participants (depending on the number)
3. Presentations on existing practice of radical democracy
* Kurdish movement (North Kurdistan; Rojava): theory and practice 
* Adivasi movements in India 
* Other movements around the world
