Misson:National Land Right Forum (NLRF) Nepal is a constituency -based self-governed people's organization, in which landless, tenants, freed-Haliya, Freed-Kamaiya, freed-Kamlari, Harawa/Charawa (different forms of bounded labors), agriculture labors and small farmers are organized. NLRF has been registered as per National Guiding Act, 2018 BS in District Administration Office Kathmandu in 2004. NLRF is a member of different national and international movements and organizations such as National Farmer Commission of Nepal, National Farmers Coalition, International Land Coalition (ILC), Asian Farmers Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA) and World Rural Forum (WRF). NLRF has six layer of structures which respectively start from Tole Land Rights Forum, Ward Land Rights Forum, Rural Municipal/Municipal Land Rights Forum, District Land Rights Forum, Province and National Land Rights Forum. It covers all seven provinces and has District Land Rights Forum (DLRFs) in sixty districts. There are 1865 Tole committees in 153 Rural Municipalities/Municipalities in which more than 86,436 members are organized. They are regularly capacitated on land rights through its own 73 Land Learning Centre (Bhumighar). The vision of NLRF is Self-reliant and dignified life of landless with land rights and its mission is Advancing organized power and ideological capacity of land rights deprived communities to claim land rights at all government level through issue-based campaigning. The goal of the NLRF is to increase access and ownership over land resource. Objectives: • Organize landless across the country for land rights and develop land rights movement as social movement. • Protect land rights deprived communities by preventing ongoing and possible eviction by monitoring, documenting and publicizing the land right violation cases. • Advocate for policy formulation and effective implementation of existing best policy/programs to institutionalize land rights. • Support landless organized with NLRF as members to realize their land rights. • Advocate for protecting natural resources, their sustainable use, ecological balance and disaster management.
