LEBANESE ARGENTINE CULTURAL UNION MISSION: -DEFEND THE FREEDOM, SOVEREIGNTY AND INDEPENDENCE OF LEBANON. -SPREAD THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF LEBANON IN ARGENTINA. -AS A NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION, THE LEBANESE ARGENTINE CULTURAL -UNION IS AN INSTITUTION WITHOUT POLITICAL OR RELIGIOUS GUIDELINES. -DEFEND CULTURAL DIVERSITY The Lebanese World Cultural Union (ULCM) was founded in 1959, in Mexico City, with the objective of disseminating social and cultural aspects of Lebanon to its ancestors in the rest of the world. As a non-governmental organization, it is a non-profit institution independent of the Lebanese Government. The National Council of UCAL was founded on November 22, 1978 in the City of Buenos Aires; following the guidelines of the World Lebanese Cultural Union. Our purposes are: • Strengthen ties between its members from Argentina and Lebanon. • Spread the cultural heritage of Lebanon in Argentina and of Argentina in Lebanon. • Intensify cultural, social, tourist and economic exchange between Argentina and Lebanon. • Strengthen the ties of friendship between the Argentine and Lebanese people. • Coordinate the activities of the World Lebanese Cultural Union throughout the Argentine territory. • Found subsidiaries. • Strengthen existing subsidiaries and verify strict compliance at the cultural and social level. • Act as a liaison with the World Union, America and Lebanon. Over the years, the Union has been formed by providing it with branches, Congresses in the different branches, cultural exchange, interaction with the Hispanic American and Caribbean Council and the World Union. The UCAL is made up of Lebanese and their ancestors and its Youth formed from the age of 18, the youth is an integral part of the UCAL, however because the activities carried out vary, they are formed as Youth, within the institution .
